01 · Chronicle → Brevity AI
In the Chronicle capstone, we designed a way for surgeons to find moments in long surgery videos and tell which clips AI suggested. I later cofounded Brevity and kept working with ENT surgeons on how the videos could be used.

A director’s questions changed how I compared 106 potential partners. After an early AI report cited sources I couldn’t verify, I changed my research workflow so every finding pointed back to its source.

03 · Costco Travel · Search experiments
I redesigned Costco Travel’s search in two phases, first lowering the cognitive effort the form signaled, then separating hotel search from optional flights and cars. Package searches rose 5.62% and hotel searches 8.32%.

Where the AI hands off to a person.
How I work
That usually means talking with the people doing the work and looking at the steps they take now. From there, I try to understand where the problems are coming from and work with the team, including technical partners, on changes we can test. When AI is involved, I look for the easiest way to fit it into how people already work.
